Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Radiology Technician to join our Radiology Department. The candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures safely and efficiently, maintaining imaging equipment, ensuring patient comfort, and following all applicable radiation safety and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures as per physician/radiologist instructions.
• Operate X-ray, CT, MRI, or other imaging equipment as per assigned responsibilities and competency.
• Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and selection of appropriate imaging protocols.
• Maintain image quality and repeat studies only when clinically required.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure appropriate use of protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and departmental documentation.
• Ensure timely uploading and transfer of images through PACS/HIS/RIS or relevant hospital systems.
• Maintain cleanliness, infection-control standards, and safety protocols in the imaging area.
• Coordinate effectively with radiologists, consultants, nursing staff, and other clinical departments.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, statutory requirements, and departmental SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow professional and ethical standards.
• Participate in emergency imaging services, including trauma and critical-care cases, as required.
• Assist in maintaining adequate stock of consumables and other departmental requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of radiographic and medical imaging procedures.
• Good understanding of radiation protection and patient safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends/emergency duties where applicable.
• Expert in MRI & CT positioning protocols
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy

Eligibility

• Diploma/B.Sc. in Radiology, Radiography, Medical Imaging Technology, or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Relevant registration/licence as applicable under prevailing regulations.
• Prior hospital experience will be preferred.
• Experience with PACS/RIS/HIS will be an added advantage.
